Iran-China trade to reach US$7 billion in 2004

Iran-China trade is expected to reach US$7 billion by the end of this year, the official IRNA news agency reported on Saturday.

Ali Hamzeh-Nejad, official of the Iran-China Chamber of Commerce was quoted as saying that the current level of bilateral cooperation was good and the bilateral trade stood at US$5.6 billion in 2003.

He pointed out that China's exports to Iran stood at US$2 billion while Iran's exports to China stood at US$3.6 billion in 2003.

The official said the annual bilateral trade was expected to reach US$10 billion by 2010.
