China is ready to promote cooperation with Bulgaria in a bunch of agricultural sectors, said Chinese Vice Premier Hui Liangyu in Beijing Thursday.

In meeting with Mehmed Dikme, Bulgarian minister of agriculture and forestry, Hui said the Chinese government values and supports the exchanges and cooperation in agriculture between the two countries.

"China hopes the two countries can carry out extensive cooperation in such agricultural fields as technology, product processing and machinery," Hui said.

Over the past half century, China-Bulgaria relations have kept stable development and the two countries have extended its cooperation in economy, culture, education, science and technology, said Hui.

Hui said the two countries have kept high-level visits, enhanced political trust and increased trade volume in recent years.
