Fur, the love of winter
Who better to create garments for these women than some of the most important designers in the world: Roberto Cavalli, Claude Montana, Gianfranco Ferre, Jean Paul Garltier, Andrew Ng and De Carlis. Their exquisite garments reflect the many moods of women: ladylike, casual, sexy and of course glamorous. The season for fashion's hottest item, fur, is here and what better way to prepare for the cold weather ahead than experiencing the new collection of Mattia Furs. This Italian collection features the superior quality of North American Fur Association (NAFA) furs. Vibrant shades of yellow, blue, pink and green are available in dyed NAFA minks. The colours set the mood for the festival and furs that were to follow. In addition to the popular plucked and sheared furs, Mattia offers a selection of laser-cut furs. Deep plum tones are etched in black while bleached ivory mink is laser cut with contrasting brown. Knits are still an important look in the season's repertoire. Northern beaver is worked in soft ivory tones in blouson pullovers and jackets. Mahogany mink plays to its advantage in trendy capes and ponchos. Certainly the highlight in the collection is black Mink. NAFA mink represents natural colours of mink that range from deep dark brown tones to silver greys and elegant white and pearl shades. As a fitting close to a season of celebrations, Mattia presents their collection of white mink at a New Year's Eve celebration. Perfect for Shanghai is the collection of "little fur pieces" that drew great applause on the catwalks in Europe and North America. Shrugs, scarves and petite boleros make a strong fashion statement. |
