Chen Luyu aims at 'Oriental Oprah'

Rummos circulated that Chen Luyu, a famous talk show hostess with Phoenix TV, would leave her popular program Meeting with Luyu, have created a media frenzy.

But, according to an official of the TV station Thursday, Chen will not part with Phoenix, neither will she bring her talk show to an end.

The official confirmed that at the moment she is busy working with Sina.com, one of the world's largest Chinese-language portals, to develop a new daily talk show, which is loosely based on an Oprah Winfrey-style of show.

The 30-minute daily program will be broadcast on Phoenix during the day and is intended to make Chen an "Oriental Oprah."
