Two female giant pandas have both given birth to cubs at a research base in Chengdu, capital of Sichuan Province, setting two new world records.

Shulan, 10-year-old, was pregnant for 200 days before she gave birth. Her pregnancy is the longest ever recorded, as giant panda pregnancies usually range between 83 and 181 days.

Qiyuan, the other mother, gave birth to the lightest giant panda cub recorded, weighing in at only 68 grams, reports the China West Metropolis News.
