在经历了长达九个多月、二十七次以上不同层面的正式会晤、磋商后，深圳航空于21日在北京与德国汉莎货运航空正式签约建立翡翠国际货运有限公司（简称翡翠航空），总投资额九千万美元。中国民航总局局长杨元元出席签字仪式。新华社报道如下：Leading global cargo carrier Lufthansa Cargo and the growing Chinese carrier Shenzhen Airlines finalized an agreement yesterday to form an all-cargo joint venture airlines after nine months of negotiations.

Shenzhen Airlines takes a controlling 51 per cent stake in the joint venture, which is named Jade Cargo International, while Lufthansa Cargo holds 25 per cent, the maximum for a single foreign investor in a joint venture of this kind as Chinese policy regulates.

Stake在此表示“（企业）股份”，例如：a stake in his children's future（给他孩子的将来留出来的股份）。此外stake还有多种含义，比如“投资，资金，（赛马）奖金，赌金，赌注”，还有“树桩、火刑柱”的意思。

据悉，翡翠国际货运公司董事长、深圳航空总经理董力加表示，翡翠航空将成为中国民航史上第一家真正意义、并拥有本身机队的中外合资货运航空公司。这一项目与以往合资航空公司有明显的不同，一是主要股东方都是从事商业航空领域的航空企业且全部以现金投资；二是深航虽然控股，但总经理由汉莎货运派富有经验的高层领导出任；三是合资公司的运营将完全独立于汉莎航空和深圳航空而自主运作，拥有独立的航徽、机队、航线和组织架构，并按照国际化标准运营。
