The Philippine national carrier Philippine Airlines (PAL) will start next Tuesday with Air Macao their thrice-weekly code-share service between Manila and Macao, with Air Macao as the operating carrier, said the PAL and Air Macao in Manila on Sunday.

With the code-share, the PAL will be able to offer seats on Air Macao flights between the two cities, giving the PAL a commercial presence for the first time in the Macao Special Administrative Region, China.

Henry So Uy, PAL executive vice president, said that Macao is already a famous gaming and leisure destination, and the PAL is delighted to add it to its network.

Li Qiang, vice president of Air Macao, said Air Macao is also pleased to develop the market between Macao and Manila, and the cooperation between the two air companies will enhance exchanges between the two cities and upgrade trade and tourism activities.

Becoming the 11th international code-sharer with the PAL, Air Macao will fly every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday between Manila and Macao.
