Sun Tiantian, Jia Zhanpo granted direct admission to University

Shooting Olympic champion Jia Zhanbo and tennis Olympic titlist Sun Tiantian will be promoted into the graduate school of Zhengzhou University, local newspaper reported Wednesday.

The two Olympic champions are granted exam-free admissions by Zhengzhou University into its graduate school to pursue further study in sports training, said Henan Daily.

Jia currently is a senior student at the university in the capital city of Henan province while Sun is a sophomore.

 The 30-year-old Jia shot to fame after he won the Olympic men's 50m rifle three positions final, which saw 50m rifle prone winner Matthew Emmons of the United States misfired on the last shot and surrendered the title to Jia.

 Sun paired up with Li Ting to bring China its first ever Olympic tennis gold as the duo triumphed in the women's doubles final.
