Champions Ajax Amsterdam blew a three-goal lead at Ado Den Haag on Sunday as Feyenoord took over at the top of the Dutch first division by defeating Twente Enschede 3-1.

Goals in the first 31 minutes from Wesley Sonck, Steven Pienaar and Nourdin Boukhari put Ajax in control but Den Haag hit back to earn a 3-3 draw.

Feyenoord top the standings with 10 points on goal difference from PSV Eindhoven, who overcame RKC Waalwijk 1-0 on Saturday. Ajax have eight points.

Roy Stroeve drove in the equaliser for Den Haag seven minutes from time to give Ajax boss Ronald Koeman plenty to ponder before Wednesday's Champions League tie against Juventus.

Cedric van der Gun had kickstarted Den Haag's fightback a minute before the break and a penalty by Geert den Ouden, after a foul by Johnny Heitinga, gave the home side further hope.

Two goals by Salomon Kalou steered Feyenoord past Twente Enschede who had gone in front through Ramon Zomer.

Japan's Shinji Ono levelled on the stroke of halftime and Kalou, younger brother of AJ Auxerre's Bonaventure, netted twice after the break.

Utrecht moved up to fourth place by defeating NEC Nijmegen 1-0 with Hans van der Haar netting the only goal early in the second half. Utrecht finished with 10 men after Jordy Zuidam was red-carded, the first dismissal in the league this season.
