Famous Chinese actress Gong Li will star in the film "Mian Mountain," the name of a famous tourist attraction in north China's Shanxi Province.

The martial art movie is to be finished in half a year, and the story takes place at the time between the Ming and Qing dynasties, but no details have been disclosed yet, China Radio International reported Friday.

Renowned Chinese image designer Yi Ming, who has styled many stars, such as Andy Lau and Jet Li, promisses to use his skills to bring out Gong Li's special magnetism.

It is also reported that Gong Li is to play the lead role in Steven Spielberg's latest project, "Memoirs of a Geisha," co-starring "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" heroines Zhang Ziyi and Michelle Yeoh.
