A batch of new cars on the assembly line are ready for delivery at the First Automobile Works (FAW) Group in Changchun, northeast China Aug. 28, 2002. The sales volume of the plant in the first half of this year reached 280,000 vehicles, with a profit of 2,150 million yuan(US$269 million), up 41 percent and 34.3 percent respectively than the same period of last year.
