Five killed in factory explosion in S. China province

Five people were killed while another 10 were injured in an explosion in eastern China's Fujian Province on Friday afternoon, local police said.

The explosion occurred at 6:40 p.m. Friday in Jinsheng Steel Company located in Minqing County, killing five and injuring 10 others, including three badly wounded.

The injured had being treated in a hospital in Fuzhou, capital city of the province, said the police.

Local authority along with policemen and firemen rushed to the scene for rescue.

Investigation into the cause of the explosion is underway.
