China's armed police force has built an anti-terrorist network covering the whole country, said the source from the Headquarters of Chinese People's Armed Police Force Friday.

The anti-terrorist network has been in place from the provincial level to cities and even to counties, the source told Xinhua.

The armed police at all levels have set up specialized counter-terrorist units and found the linkage among them to reinforce one another, the source added.

The anti-terrorist armed police defending the capital city Beijing and major provincial capitals are able to carry out a taskagainst terror nationwide, the police source said.

The armed police force at cities and counties have been equipped with arms to act against slight terrorist attack, the source added.

Established in early 1983, the Chinese People's Armed Police Force differentiates the functions of army and the police.
