<B>Sentence</B>: 宣判有罪

6月1日，澳大利亚第一名按照反恐怖法被定罪的恐怖分子被判处九年监禁。这名白人恐怖分子名叫杰克·罗奇，现年50岁，被控策划向位于首都堪培拉的以色列大使馆投放炸弹。外电是这样报道的：Australia’s first convicted terrorist, Jack Roche, has been sentenced to nine years jail for plotting to bomb the Israeli embassy in Canberra. Sentence作为动词，在这里是“宣判有罪”的意思，例如：sentence somebody to death（判处某人死刑）sentence的名词也有“判决，刑罚”的意思，如a life sentence（无期徒刑）。
