The China Internet Cafe Development Summit will be launched in the middle of June in Beijing.

Hosted by the Office for the Promotion of a Healthy Internet Industry under the Ministry of Culture, it will call for the "healthy" development of China's Internet cafe sector, which has been widely criticized for its ill-fated development over the years. Participants will include Internet cafe owners, software and hardware developers, operators and distributors.

Following the launch of the summit in Beijing, it will be held in nine other major cities, including Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenyang, Chengdu and Xi'an.
