Brazilian striker Rodrigo Gral scored in 81st minute to help Japan's Jubilo Iwata beat Shanghai Shenhua of China 2-1 in the Asian Champions League on Tuesday.

Juilo has nine points in Group E while Shenhua, coached by former Leeds United manager Howard Wilkinson, suffered their thirdstraight defeat.

Jubilo fell behind to a Zhang Yuning strike after just eight minutes at Yamaha Stadium but 19-year-old Sho Naruoka equalised for the home side on the stroke of halftime.

The two sides play again in Shanghai on April 22.

In Group F, Krung Thai Bank scored a late 1-0 win at Vietnamesechampions Hoang Anh Gia Lai to go second on six points, trailing Dalian Shide on goal difference.

The Chinese club will look to record their third straight victory when they visit PSM Makassar of Indonesia on Wednesday.

The group stage of the Asian Champions League runs until May. Only the top team from each of the seven groups advances to the quarter-finals, to be played over two legs in September.

Al Ain of the United Arab Emirates qualified automatically for the last eight after winning the inaugural competition last year.
