China collected its fourth gold in the FINA diving grand Prix here when world champions Guo Jingjing and Wu Minxia pulled off the women's 3m springboard synchronized on Saturday.

Amid cheers from the sell-out crowd, the Chinese pair led the field throughout a match without much suspense and sailed to the championship on 334.20 points.

Australian duo Chantelle Michell and Loudy Tourky fought their way to the runner-up place on 271.31 after overtaking Britain's Tandi Gerrard and Jane Smith in the last dive. The British divers had to settle for the bronze by a tiny margin of 0.09 point.

Carrying on China's gold sweep in the tournament serving as one of the national Olympic trials, Guo and Wu took it for granted for their victory.

"We did not pay much attention to other divers during the competition. We just mind our own business,"said Guo, who clinched both titles in the 3m springboard and the synchronized event at the Barcelona World Championships last July.

Lao Lishi and Li Ting also met little challenge in their run for the women's platform synchronized title when the platform synchronized world champions eased to the first place on 347.82.

Loudy Tourky took her second silver here after She partnered Lynda Dackiw to collect 297.99 points while Russian pair Natalia Goncharova and Yulia Koltunova were ranked third among the four pairs of competitors in the final.

Lao talked in a relieved manner about the victory after she surrendered the platform gold to her national teammate Li Na on Friday.

"We had great team work during the match, which brought us the victory,"she said. "But we have to improve on some details of our moves, I mean, every single move."
