Shen/Zhao lead China's world figure skating title desire

Shen Xue and Zhao Hongbo have already own two world figure skating gold medals and another win next week at the 2004 World Figure Skating Championships would make the pair the most successful in China.

Shen and Zhao flied to Dortmund, Germany on Thursday with theirteammates: Pang Qing/Tong Jian and Zhang Dan/Zhang Hao in pairs, Li Chengjiang in men's single, Fang Dan in women's singles, and Yang Fang/Gao Chongbo in ice dance.

Shen/Zhao have tested their the new routine "the Nutcracker" internationally this season, their steady performance helped them claim the title of Figure Skating Grand Prix finals.

Zhao, who paired with Shen Xue to win the pairs title at the 2002 and 2003 world championships, said his goal was not noly the third gold medal in the Championship, but an Olympic gold medal.

"I have won everything but an Olympic gold medal, and this is the only thing I am now seeking," he said. "I want to own a perfect career."
