Mother Dalu loves Son Taiwan Lau Guan Kim Updated: 2004-03-18 09:38
Let me tell you a tale of Mother Dalu And the hurt Son Taiwan
inflicts. A loving care as any mother gives, But son never
cares. Chinese brethren, my compatriots, There is talk of war and
destruction. Yet Mother Dalu patiently waits For Son Taiwan to come back,
For she hungers a long lost son And yearning to shower her love.
O, how Mother Dalu loves Son Taiwan! But anon, the Taidu with viper's
tongue Breaks this return of lost son. Then Mother Dalu weeps with
pain, Yet this love is ever there To caution other siblings Never harm
her precious son. Ere this pain wails across the Strait, Son Taiwan
unfilially proclaims, Mother Dalu his mother not.
Soon the drums will beat, For brothers to kill brothers, So Son Taiwan
never to disunite A family Mother Dalu cares. Come back, come back, Son
Taiwan! Mother Dalu loves you. She cries and weeps To beckon Son
Taiwan Back to her warm bosom Of a reunited family!
