Top legislature makes final preparations for annual session

Some 2,747 NPC deputies
attended the meeting in Beijing, March 4, 2004. The agenda for the 10-day session
was adopted at the preparatory meeting. They will hear and
deliberate reports on government work, the budget and the socio-economic
development plan, and approve the draft amendments to the country's
