French Town
The core of French Town,
a former French concession, which includes the area around Huaihai Lu and the
Jinjiang Hotel, is quickly becoming the place to be - especially for food
lovers. Huaihai Lu is all about
shopping. Huge department stores block the sun along a road lined with colorful
flower boxes. The area around the hotel is littered with cafes and boutiques,
where the odd antique shop can be spotted. Head down the side streets off Yan'an Lu for end-of-century architecture.
