The lion's share

这个词现在的意思和狮子没有什么关系，它经常出现在一些分析报告中，如：As usual, the lion's share of the budget is for defence.意思是“如往常一样，预算中的最大一项照例是国防费用。”而the lion's share意思就是“最大或最好的一份”。

这个词语的典故出自《伊索寓言》，故事中狮子将其他所有动物的猎物都攫为己有。所以现在人们就用它来形容分额最大的一部分。例如：The lion's share of the responsibility for getting things done fell on my shoulders.把事情干完的大部分责任落在我的肩上。
