The Sino-US Clean Energy Trade Mission held a forum on new energy in Beijing on January 9. Chinese government officials and top executives from China's largest energy companies including Huaneng Group, PetroChina, Sinopec and China Shenhua, welcomed a convoy led by US Department of Commerce assistant secretary David Bohigian. Seventeen US clean-energy enterprises met with Chinese firms for potential business opportunities.

"It truly is a deep honor and real privilege to be able to open the US-China clean-energy and energy efficiency forum."

After delivering an encouraging speech at the forum, Bohigian did an exclusive interview with China Daily to discuss topics such as cooperation in environmental protection and clean-energy development between the two countries.
