Southern provinces short of power

A shortage in power supply has emerged in five southern provinces, mainly due to decreasing coal-to-power capacity, an executive with China Southern Power Grid said.


Energy demand may decrease as economy slows

China's economic growth may start to slow in the second quarter this year, leading to a decrease in energy demand, an official from the national energy watchdog said.
