12 percent Beijingers drive to and from work
( 2003-10-14 09:49) (CRInews)

A survey shows 12 percent of Beijing people drive their own cars to and from work every day.

Among the 2,000 Beijing residents surveyed, about 40 percent take buses, and 30 percent ride bikes. They also gave their suggestions to solving the traffic problems in Beijing.

About 30 percent of people think better traffic management and traffic facilities should be built up, while only 6 percent support the idea of limiting the use of private cars.
