South China to expect cooler weather
( 2003-10-03 10:20) (Xinhua)

China's southern areas will have cooler weather in the coming two or three days, and some areas may experience sleet, according to the Central Meteorological Station (CMS).

According to He Lifu, a senior engineer with CMS, a cold airflow had arrived south of the Yangtze River on Thursday morning and would keep moving south.

Resulting from the interaction of the cold and warm air currents, overcast and rainy weather would carry through in western areas between the Yellow River and Huaihe River, most areas between the Huaihe River and Yangtze River, and areas south of the Yangtze in the next two or three days, He said.
