Sixty-six workers in the Nanhui District south of the city contracted food poisoning earlier this week, reports Shanghai Morning Post.

A continuous flow of victims were sent to hospital on Monday evening displaying like symptoms of fever, vomiting and diarrhoea.

Most of the sufferers, all of whom were labourers from a construction site, have since left hospital.
