Trezeguet says he is staying at Juve

France striker David Trezeguet says he has no intention of leaving Italian club Juventus.

Italian newspapers have speculated that the former Monaco striker could quit Juventus after his agent Antonio Caliendo was quoted as saying there was a dispute over a new pay deal.

Caliendo had previously suggested that Trezeguet would like to leave Juventus for English premier league leaders Arsenal.

"Caliendo has really talked a lot, but I am the one who decides because I am the one who plays and I am not leaving here," Trezeguet told Juve's official website on Friday.

"Any club can come here looking for me but I am not leaving Juve, because the club has shown great faith, as has the coach.

"I want to win a lot of trophies with this club, which has the most supporters in the world and I haven't been able to do that yet," added the French international.

Trezeguet confirmed he was in talks aimed at extending his current deal with Juventus which runs out in 2005 but denied there was any dispute.

The striker, who has scored 20 goals in Serie A this season, said talks with Juve officials had been "calm and without any kind of pressure".

"Even if the club wanted to sell me, I wouldn't accept and I would stay here," added the 24-year-old.

Juventus are currently second in Serie A just a point behind leaders Inter with two games remaining.

The Turin side face Brescia on Sunday and Trezeguet is clearly relishing a title run-in that looks set to go down to the wire for the fourth successive year.

"It is the moment of truth. There is very little to say. We we need to win our two games and see what Inter can come up with," said Trezeguet.
