Parma sign Nakata from Roma Parma have signed Japanese midfielder Hidetoshi Nakata from Serie A champions Roma, Italian news agency ANSA said on Thursday. ANSA said 24-year-old Nakata, a former Perugia player, had cost Parma around 60 billion lire (US$26.07 million). Nakata missed last month's Confederations Cup final for Japan after deciding to fly back to Italy to play in Roma's last league match of the season against Parma, which they won 3-1 to clinch their first league title for 18 years. He was also linked last season with moves to English premier league clubs Manchester United and Arsenal. In the past month, Parma have sold French international defender Lilian Thuram and Italian goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon to Juventus, Portuguese winger Sergio Conceicao to Inter Milan and Brazilian forward Marcio Amoroso to Borussia Dortmund. |
