In Qian's eyes, the slow moving train is full of life with people playing cards, eating, chatting, reading and surfing online, and the carriages are also filled with different food smells and dialects.

Qian Haifeng's Green Train is an award-winning work at 2015 Lianzhou Foto Festival. He spent eight years travelling around China in more than 200 green trains to record ordinary Chinese people's life.

Qian said the green trains recording the life of the most common people is the best way to tell the Chinese story, but the arrival of the era of high-speed rail is making these trains gradually fade out of our sight.
