Snapshot of Dulong ethnic group in SW China

For thousands of years, the Dulong were kept in isolation. They used to live under a primitive commune system according to patriarchal clans called "nile". Each nile consisted of several family communes. The clan was further divided into "ke'eng", or villages, where people dwelt in common long houses. [Photo by Lin Tianfu/photoint.net]
