Jilin's chief procurator under investigation

Yang Keqin, a senior official of Jilin province, has been under investigation by the Communist Party of China Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the National Supervisory Commission for suspected severe violations of disciplines and laws, according to an official statement on Wednesday. Yang, 62, is the Party chief and chief procurator of Jilin People's Procuratorate. In 1994, he started working in the CPC Central Political and Legal Affairs Commission and became the director of the commission's political and legal research institute in 2004. He has served in his current posts since 2012.
