Envoy: Ties benefit Rwanda politically and economically

By Wang Qingyun | China Daily | Updated: 2018-07-23 07:46

Relations between China and Rwanda are growing well, both politically and economically, and bilateral cooperation helps achieve goals set in the West African country's development road map, said Rwandan Ambassador to China Charles Kayonga.

President Xi Jinping's arrival in Rwanda will bring the second meeting between the countries' leaders in less than two years, Kayonga said - Rwandan President Paul Kagame visited China in March 2017.

"These political exchanges signify a lot, because they contribute to mutual trust and prepare ground for deeper economic cooperation, which is also progressing very well," the ambassador told China Daily recently.
