Baby in coma after being hit by falling apple

A 3-month-old girl who was hit in the head by an apple that fell from a balcony remained in pediatric intensive care in a hospital in Shenzhen, Guangdong province, on Thursday.

"Doctors won't predict when Fanfan will wake up," said the child's father, surnamed Yu. "My daughter is still in a coma and relies on a respirator after two weeks of treatment in intensive care," he told local media on Thursday.

Fanfan has had two surgeries so far, he said.
