England has a lot to answer for

It was a scenario all too familiar for those of us that wanted to Remain: An uninspired and rather formless campaign that relied more on hope and fear than solid fact and the ability to press obvious advantages.
The end result was shocking: An exit from Europe and the resignation of the leader.
No, I'm not talking about the Brexit vote and the resignation of Prime Minister David Cameron, but rather what some pundits have labeled 'Engxit' or 'Brexit 2.0': England's lame elimination from Euro 2016 and the subsequent departure of manager Roy Hodgson.
