China is ready to send aircraft and vessels to join search and rescue work for AirAsia Flight QZ8501, a Foreign Ministry spokeswoman said on Monday.
Hua Chunying said in a statement that the country has told Indonesia it is willing to provide other assistance as needed.
The Ministry of Defense said a Chinese navy corvette has been dispatched to help the search, and planes will follow.
