Chan back for Christmas

Jackie Chan recently announced in Beijing that the latest film of his Police Story series, directed by Ding Sheng, will be released on Christmas Eve. The film, Police Story 2013, stars Chan and rising actress Jing Tian. Chan will play a mainland policeman for the first time in his acting career. Chan hopes the six Police Story films will be as popular as the James Bond franchise. Chan, 59, also says that he will do less dangerous action sequences, and he hopes audiences can understand his decision. His projects in planning stages include Rush Hour 4 and a script with Zhang Yimou.
