Lotteries are just the ticket for newspaper

BEIJING - Ten years ago, when Liu Jing put forward the idea of starting a philanthropy newspaper, few of his friends showed support.

At that time, charity was not the social focus it is today, and didn't attract that much media attention.

"Charity means helping those who need help, and no one will buy a newspaper reporting stuff like this," Liu quoted one of his friends as saying.
