MANADO, Indonesia - Taking cupping jars off the shoulder of an Indonesian woman, Dr Liu Feifei practiced what she has been doing for nearly 30 years, but this time in a foreign country.

Liu traveled to Manado, Indonesia, with a 15-member medical team as part of the Chinese delegation participating in the ASEAN Regional Forum Disaster Relief Exercises from March 15 to 19.

The exercises simulated a magnitude-7.5 earthquake and a subsequent tsunami off the coast of Manado, killing over 1,000 people, damaging over 10,000 houses and leaving more than 30,000 people homeless.
