Gift cards resurface as easy way to bribe

Bribery cases that involve the giving of gift cards instead of money are becoming more common in the capital and accounted last year for 83.3 percent of the bribery files handled by Shijingshan Procuratorate.

The previous year, cases involving gift cards constituted just 15 per cent of the total.

In addition to the growing popularity of gift cards, the amount of money involved is also increasing.
