Suspects confess to nearly 30 muggings

Two men who allegedly mugged the drivers of almost 30 taxis during the past year have been detained, Fengtai district police said Tuesday.

Police said the two suspects, surnamed Li and Yu, were arrested in January following an eight-month investigation.

Fengtai district police said they started receiving reports in March that legal and unlicensed drivers in the district were being mugged.
