New fees for searches, copying

The City Development and Reform Commission announced on Saturday that, from April 1, Beijing administrative organs may charge fees for searches, copying and mailing fees in accordance with the provision of government for public information.

The standard search will cost five yuan for each piece of information. Mailing fees have uniform standards that are stipulated by the State. People on social assistance programs will get the services for free. All fees and charges will be turned over to the national treasury.
