Boost to fighting AIDS
The China Red Ribbon Foundation (CRRF) has planned 1.05 million yuan for AIDS prevention and control in Liangshan, southern Sichuan, a Yi autonomous region well known for heroin use and HIV infections, in the coming year.
The aid will support the education of children with HIV-positive parents, offer monthly food nutritional aid for children infected with the virus and provide medical help to stop mother-to-child transmissions, according to executive director Xie Jinglong at the foundation's annual meeting earlier this month.
