Sales of light vehicles in China slowed a bit in February over the previous month with a total of 1.2 million units delivered, but climbed 45 percent over 2009 despite the Chinese New Year holiday that resulted in fewer working days.

Passenger vehicle sales performed better than light commercial vehicles, with a monthly increase of 54 percent to 764,000 units, a year-to-date surge of 89 percent.
