Things are getting better, but for foreign visitors, getting around Shanghai can still be fraught with problems

SHANGHAI - The city is working hard to improve its public facilities so foreign tourists will have a more enjoyable stay in Shanghai during the Expo, but there are areas where more effort is needed.

Public transportation is one of these areas, especially buses. Catching a bus is confusing for foreign visitors because of the lack of English-language signs on the vehicles and at bus stops.
