BEIJING - She is a decisive and tough businesswoman known for her courage and wisdom, but when she talks about charity and Chinese culture, she is tender and full of emotion.
At the annual session of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) this year, 53-year-old Li Yuling continues to emphasize education and culture in her proposal, which are her key concerns in the past eight years as a member of the nation's top political advisory body.
Li said she finally knows the fundamental requirements for success after so many years in the business world. "Good education and strong cultural identity speak for everything. They are not only vital to every individual, but also to a country."
