Lampard hails win

Frank Lampard insists England's 3-1 victory over Africa Cup of Nations champions Egypt shows the team's spirit has not been affected by the scandal involving deposed captain John Terry.

Fabio Capello's side was in action at Wembley on Wednesday for the first time since Terry was stripped of the England captaincy following his alleged affair with Vanessa Perroncel, the former girlfriend of Wayne Bridge.

Terry gave a solid enough performance at the heart of England's defense and received a relatively uncritical reception from the Wembley crowd, but it was the manner of England's fightback from a goal down that most pleased Lampard.
