 President boosts athletes' morale

Updated: 2008-07-24 07:29 President Hu Jintao yesterday paid a morale-boosting visit to Chinese athletes preparing for the Olympic Games at the General Administration of Sports' training center in Beijing. He watched artistic gymnasts, synchronized swimmers, weightlifters, and ping-pong, basketball and volleyball players go through their training. At the basketball stadium, Hu asked NBA star Yao Ming about the foot injury he suffered in February. "The entire nation is worried over your foot. How is it doing now?" Hu said.
