Care for husband in the classroom

Li Mingxiu, a teacher in Xinglong township in Zaoyang city, Hubei province, has been bringing her husband, Chen Luguo, with her to class for the past year.

Chen sits in the back row while Li takes her grade 4 primary school class.

Chen, 54, has suffered from atrophy of brain since late 2004. Li has brought him to class with her each day since last September because there is no one else at home to look after him.

Possessiveness masked as kindness a passion killer

Lin Li recently sought advice about separating from her husband, Wang Yong at a judicial consulting center in Wuhan, Hubei province. Her reasons: that her spouse has been "showing too much consideration" for her.

Lin wants to divorce Wang because since they married in 2006 he has constantly eavesdropped on her telephone conversations and read her cell phone text messages without her permission.

Lin says she feels smothered by her husband's close monitoring of her social life, and that she feels entitled to her privacy.

The reason why Wang keeps such close tabs on Lin is because she is an attractive woman with a good job as mid-ranking official. As such she is popular with her male colleagues, which makes Wang feel threatened.
