"It all happened so fast," Zhang said, "By the time I went to see what the dog had been barking about it was lying dead after being attacked by the leopard, which had run away." Brave kitty saves owner from snake attack A woman surnamed Ding, a resident of Chongqing municipality, owes her life to her cat after it protected her from a snake attack on Tuesday morning. "I saw a 1.5-m long snake at my window and fell to the ground, frozen with fear. As the snake advanced my cat suddenly jumped between it and me and began spitting and snarling. I took the chance to phone the local police, who soon came and took the snake away from my home. I am so grateful to my cat," Ding said.
